Prairie Pure Familiy Favorites
Fish Parmigiana
Ingredients:
- 4 flounder or other white-fleshed fish fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce
- 3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded Prairie Pure Butterkäse cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place the fish fillets in the baking dish and top with the spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with the Butterkäse cheese, then the Italian seasoning. Bake, uncovered, for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Mushroom Oven Omelet
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 6 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Prairie Pure Butterkäse cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup real bacon bits
Directions:
In a small skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until tender; drain. In a bowl, combine the flour, eggs, milk, and pepper until smooth. Stir in 1-cup cheese, bacon bits, and mushrooms. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until eggs are completely set.
Four Layer No-Boil Prairie Pure Lasagna*
Ingredients:
- 1 box (9 oz) oven ready lasagna noodles
- 2 eggs
- 1 container (15oz) ricotta cheese
- 4 cups (16 oz) shredded Prairie Pure Butterkäse cheese
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) grated parmesan cheese
- 1 pound cooked, crumbled ground beef
- 2 jars (27 oz each) spaghetti sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. In bowl, beat eggs and stir in ricotta and 2 cups Prairie Pure cheese, with the parmesan cheese.
Layer lasagna in the following order:
- Spread 1 cup of sauce on the bottom of the baking pan.
- Layer 4 uncooked noodles, 1/3 of the ricotta/egg/Prairie Pure mixture, half of the browned meat, 1 cup of Prairie Pure cheese, and 1 cup of sauce.
- Layer 4 uncooked noodles, 1/3 of the ricotta/egg/Prairie Pure mixture, and 1-1/2 cups of sauce.
- Layer 4 uncooked noodles, the remaining ricotta/egg/Prairie Pure mixture, the remaining browned meat, and 1 cup of sauce.
- Layer 4 uncooked noodles, the remaining sauce, and the remaining cup of Prairie Pure cheese.
Bake, covered with foil, until bubbly, 50 to 60 minutes. Uncover, and continue baking until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
